Privacy policy

Individual data stays individual.

This policy explains what data Veridion collects, how it is used, who processes it, and the rights users have over it. Questions go to privacy@veridionmarkets.com.

Effective: May 2026 · Modern route aligned with static Section 9

01 · Who we are

Veridion Markets is a financial-information platform operated by Veridion Markets LLC. Our website is veridionmarkets.com. Veridion is not a registered investment adviser. Nothing on the platform constitutes investment advice.

02 · What we collect
  • Account data: email address, password hash, account creation date, and last sign-in timestamp.
  • Product data: watchlists, portfolios, alerts, notes, preferences, sectors selected, score-method display preferences, and theme settings.
  • AI usage data: tokens consumed per AI call for cost tracking and tier rate-limiting. Chat content is not stored beyond what is required to deliver the immediate response.
  • Payment data: handled by our payment partner. Veridion stores only the billing customer ID and subscription status returned by their API.
  • Technical data: IP address for rate limiting and abuse prevention, browser type, device type, referrer URL, and privacy-preserving page-view analytics.
03 · How we use your data

We do not sell your personal data. We do not use your personal data to train any AI model.

  • Provide the platform, render dashboards, run alerts, generate AI briefs, and deliver transactional emails.
  • Process payments through a secure payment partner.
  • Detect and prevent abuse, fraud, and unauthorized access.
  • Improve the platform through aggregate, anonymized analytics on feature usage.
  • Comply with legal obligations.
04 · Who we share with

We use a small set of carefully selected sub-processors, each contractually bound to protect your data. A current named list is available on request by emailing privacy@veridionmarkets.com.

  • Cloud hosting and CDN for application delivery and edge caching.
  • Managed database and authentication for encrypted data storage and account authentication.
  • Payment processing through a secure payment partner during checkout and subscription management.
  • AI and language-model infrastructure under zero-retention terms for eligible calls.
  • Market data providers receive ticker symbols only. Personal user data is not transmitted to market-data providers.
  • Transactional email delivery for account confirmations, password resets, and billing receipts.
  • Error monitoring and performance tooling with personal data scrubbed before transmission.
05 · How long we keep it
  • Active accounts: retained for the lifetime of the account.
  • Closed accounts: deleted within 30 days of closure, except billing records retained for 7 years under US tax requirements.
  • AI usage logs: retained for 90 days for rate-limiting, then aggregated and anonymized.
  • Server logs: retained for 30 days.
06 · Your rights

Signed-in users can export stored account data and request account deletion directly from /account. Deletion removes active product data, cancels any linked subscription, and queues the compliance purge window.

Whether you live in the EU, UK, California, or elsewhere, you can request access, correction, deletion, portability, objection, consent withdrawal, or complaint support from the account page or by emailing privacy@veridionmarkets.com from the email address registered to your account.

07 · Cookies and tracking

Veridion uses essential cookies, primarily the authentication cookie that keeps users signed in. Veridion does not use third-party advertising cookies, cross-site tracking pixels, ad retargeting pixels, or sell browsing behavior to advertisers or data brokers.

Product analytics are limited to first-party, aggregate page-view telemetry and privacy-preserving performance analytics used under legitimate interest to keep the service reliable, secure, and useful. Analytics are not used for advertising profiles, and users can request access or deletion through the privacy contact above.

08 · Security

This section documents the current security baseline used for account and data protection.

  • TLS 1.3 encrypts data in transit.
  • Data is encrypted at rest using AES-256.
  • Row-level access control means users can only see their own account data, enforced at the database layer.
  • Passwords are salted and one-way hashed. Veridion never sees plaintext passwords.
  • Sessions use HttpOnly cookies and are not accessible to JavaScript.
09 · Data we retain rights to

9a · Individual user data

Your individual user data, including watchlists, portfolio holdings, search history, brief reading patterns, alert subscriptions, and all other personally identifiable activity on Veridion, is never sold, licensed, leased, or shared at the individual level with any third party. This applies regardless of who the third party is: hedge funds, asset managers, data vendors, advertising networks, research desks, or government agencies, except as required by valid legal process.

We will not sell your individual data even if you grant us consent. This is a structural commitment of the product, not a settings toggle.

9b · Aggregate and derivative data

We compute outputs from your activity that are not personally identifiable. Examples include anonymous counts of how many users viewed a given stock symbol on a given day, or sector-level breakdowns of watchlist composition across cohorts of 50 or more users. We retain rights to these aggregate, anonymized, and derivative datasets, including the right to publish them, license them to third parties such as institutional research clients, and use them to improve the Veridion Score.

k-anonymity floor of 50 users.

No aggregate metric we publish or license is derived from a cohort of fewer than 50 distinct user accounts. Any computed value that does not meet this threshold is suppressed.

Individual data is never sold even with consent.

The aggregate datasets are derived from anonymized activity in cohorts. Your individual record is never part of a licensed dataset, regardless of any settings toggle.

Opt-out within 7 business days.

You can email privacy@veridionmarkets.com to request that your activity be excluded from aggregate computations. We will confirm the exclusion within 7 business days and apply it going forward. Historical computations published before your opt-out are not retroactively recomputed but are noted as having a fixed publication date.

When this matters: the most direct example is the Veridion Retail Sentiment Series, a planned institutional research product. VRSS aggregates anonymous user activity across watchlists, search frequency, and brief engagement to publish sector and ticker-level retail sentiment indices. Section 9b is the framework that makes VRSS possible while keeping individual data sacred.

10 · Children

Veridion is not intended for users under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has registered, email us and we will delete the account.

11 · Changes to this policy

If we make material changes to this policy, we will email registered users at least 14 days before the changes take effect and post a banner on the platform. The effective date at the top of this page tracks the latest version.
